ABOUT WARREN

Warren Jaycox was born in Baltimore, Maryland, graduated from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute (a public high school) in 1950. He received his B.A. degree from Rice University in 1954, his M.A. degree from California State University at Los Angeles in 1959, and his Ed.D from the University of Southern California in 1967.

He has had a varying career, including many years as an educator, thirty years of active and reserve service in the Marine Corps, has owned several successful businesses, and has enjoyed many leadership roles in community and civic organizations. In 2004, he participated in his first of eight short-term missions overseas, gaining valuable experience used as a basis for this book.

Active in his church life, he has served the Lord as a deacon and an elder in the Presbyterian Church. His interests include travel (he has visited over forty-eight countries and all the states of the U.S.), singing and playing Sudoku. He is married to Jeanette, his wife for over sixty years and has three children and five grandchildren. He currently resides in Sonoma, California with no plans to move from what he calls a paradise next only to heaven.

If you are looking for in depth coverage on how to organize and operate your own Vacation Bible School, there is a book to help.

Warren has compiled his experience, knowledge and  tools into one helpful  resource that will take you from gathering support from your own church, to planning for both staffing and materials, to establishing a relationship with a church overseas, to establishing a budget, to training, and actually conducting the VBS mission.
